Our Novice class is a full day introduction to therapeutic Swedish massage taught by one or more of our experienced faculty members. Whether you plan to study at Discoverypoint in the Professional Massage Program or simply want to learn the basics of how to provide a good back and neck rub to friends and family, this class is designed for you.

WEAR clothing comfortable for movement — we'll be moving around, giving and receiving massage!
BRING a set of twin sheets with a pillowcase. (You'll be the only one lying on your sheets.) We recommend regular cotton ones; not flannel, not silky, and not jersey-knit material. You can also bring a notebook + pen if you'd like to take notes; handouts will be provided.

Elective Classes are offered to existing LMTs for Continuing Education credit — and offered to currently enrolled students for credit toward their diploma. These are typically short, introductory classes — giving LMTs and students a great chance to sample a particular modality, topic, or instructor — without having to commit to an all-day workshop or multi-day retreat.
